	oceanfront location with total privacy As all the cottages are located on the edge of an inaccessible cliff, there is no crowded beach that could disturb your privacy. Nobody will intrude on your private area including the sundeck with the hot tub. more

The bathroom has a
combination bathtub / shower. We supply clean towels daily for both the bathroom and the kitchen.

cell phone reception - phones in cottages

A few km west of Sooke begins an area with bad or no reception for most cell phones. If your carrier uses technology that is compatible with the cell phone standards on the US side of the Juan de Fuca Strait you probably will be able to roam on the US network.
All cottages are equipped with phones. If it is important for you that you can be reached at all times, ask at check in for your extension number and give it to the party that might need it. Local calls (Sooke and most of Greater Victoria) are free and long distance calls can be made with calling cards or credit cards.

web mail

The Shirley area is not served by adsl or cable, just by satellite and dial up internet. Therefore we cannot offer internet in the cottages. However, there is a computer in the reception which guests can use for webmail. As satellite internet is not 100% reliable (e.g. in rain storms) and because computer do occasionally fail, we cannot guarantee that this service is always available.

Because of the for kids potentially dangerous location children cannot be allowed in the cottages. Infants are welcome as long as they are not yet able to walk.

To guarantee a quiet, respectful atmosphere we allow only registered guests on the property.

All cottages are non-smoking, but smoking is allowed on the partly covered sundecks. Of course, never throw cigarette butts in the bush!
